Anthony (A.M.) Andrade (he/him/his or they/them) is a visual and performance artist, teaching artist, songwriter, musician, producer, film artist and passionate youth advocate from Providence, RI. A Music Production and Media Instructor at AS220 Youth and AS220 Industries, Anthony also works with incarcerated youth at the Rhode Island Training School, running two art courses centered around spiritual growth through self-expression and breathing/meditation practices. He is a Yoga Alliance Certified Yoga Teacher (CYT-200), and a certified Breathe for Change Wellness Champion. Along with his mission to enhance well-being and bring meditation to the classroom, he co-facilitates MARS Camp with Sara Azriel, an after-school songwriting program at the Trinity Academy for the Performing Arts.
Anthony works as a corporate and independent photo/video artist while working as a Master Control and Camera Operator at Rhode Island PBS: Public Broadcasting Station. Anthony is also a classically trained pianist and independent music producer. He produces for local Providence musicians and has released four self-produced albums. Anthony is working toward a B.A. in Media Communications at Rhode Island College. With 5 years of training in Hip-hop and Acro dance, Anthony has a fierce passion for teaching and learning movement with PoC and is an active member of New Works/World Traditions Dance Company while teaching “Intro to Hip-Hop/Afrobeats” at ¡ProvidenceCityArts for Youth!.
